Watanabe:As a chef, he often visits various places both in Japan and abroad in search of delicious ingredients. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we often visited Italy, Spain and other places. In Italy, I also trained in cooking. Being able to study cooking surrounded by authentic chefs was a very valuable and exciting experience.

Watanabe:Interacting with local people is the joy of traveling. I'm always amazed by completely different values. In Italy, where I stayed for a long time, there were many optimistic and cheerful people, and I made many discoveries, saying that they were living a different life than the Japanese people. I want to see, think about things from various perspectives, and enjoy life at my own pace. This idea may be linked to OYOGE, a "taiyaki restaurant that doesn't have sea bream."
Watanabe:In Japan, I also went to Okinawa. Of course, you can meet local people and enjoy the ingredients, but you can also enjoy spending time surrounded by nature! For me, who spends every day in Tokyo, a moment in Okinawa is an extraordinary world. I strongly feel that it is important to move away from everyday life and refresh yourself once in a while.
